Artistic Acclaim Playlist

Artistic Last week we showcased 16 of the Best Indie Albums from 2015, and in doing so, found a lot of other great music from this year which deserves artistic acclaim. We also want to continue celebrating 2015 from a historic standpoint, because this year does mark a few significant anniversaries in music, namely the 40th birthday of Born To Run, the album that made one of my favorite artists (Bruce Springsteen) an acclaimed performer.

So……this week I’m showcasing a combination of both great music that is newly released from some incredible emerging indie artists like David Ramirez, Austin Plaine, and Aryn Michelle, while also celebrating a little history including 3 albums that came out 10 years ago, as you know 2005 was a big year for me and one that we celebrated this year with 10 Years Going. Brandi Carlile, The Killers and one of Iron & Wine’s original collaborations with Calexico all fit into that category and certainly deserve artistic acclaim.

Oh, and we also have some historic musicians with new albums, some new originals and some archival (best of) work including Van Morrison, Cassandra Wilson, and Robert Cray. It’s definitely a flavorful collection of music for your week. Thanks for returning here to my table. Enjoy!
