Subtle Hypnotism Program Playlist & Players

Paw-Picked Music For This Week
Paw-Picked Music For This Week
Yes that is a pic of my sweet little kitty Baby Girl (her actual name; I call her Pooh). I’ve teased on the show several times that she’s my assistant producer. She does “work” with me while I listen to music for the show, and does seem to like certain things and dislike others.

All the music in this week’s episode has been Baby-Girl-Approved.

Music has an obvious power and a subtle one too. For some songwriters, the subtle hypnotism lies in the composition, creating sound textures that take you off-guard and leave you wanting more. For music super fans, we find this most often in the B-side cuts of great albums, not in the hit singles that commercial media is playing.

In our 1st hour we’ll dive deeper into some amazing songbooks in the folk & singer-songwriter genres from indie artists like Sam Beam, The Saint Johns, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Anthony D’Amato and more in our first hour.

In our 2nd hour we mix up the flow a bit with some subtly hypnotic tracks in the alternative realm from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Face to Face and Blink 182, paired with indie acts like Hydrogen Skyline and more.
