Happy Memorial Day to you all. I hope we all take some time today to reflect on the people who have made our great country what it is, the sacrifices made and lives lost so we can be the most free nation in the world. That’s a great thing. New music hits stores on Tuesdays, but the day after is a great time to introduce new stuff as well. Here’s to Wednesday!
Keeping it light in honor of the holiday, our new music this week comes from Jackie Greene. This California native began playing guitar at the age of 14 and started writing his own music shortly after, recording songs in his homemade garage studio. He received a bit of commercial success with his debut album “Gone Wanderin” in 2001, which led to some big tour slots with Buddy Guy, BB King, Huey Lewis and others. Two years ago he had gigs on Conan O’Brien’s late night show as well as songs on some network TV shows. His latest release is “Till The Light Comes,” which I’ll feature more of in a few weeks on The Appetizer. He has a great blues-rock feel and I think you all will enjoy it.
