The Best Playlist For Your Home Remodel

This might seem like a strange title, but I’ve been doing a considerable amount of home improvement work since my wife and I bought a house, which we are in the process of moving into. All the same, while scraping popcorn off of ceilings, taking down old fans and lights, doing some plumbing and carpentry work, we’ve been listening to a lot of music on my iPod to help with the tedious aspects of the work. One artist in particular that we’ve found is great work music is Bruce Springsteen. My wife suggested that perhaps since his music was written (in the 70s and 80s in particular) with the blue-collar worker in mind, that it would make sense that doing blue collar work while listening to his stuff would be enjoyable. So instead of whistling while we worked, we let The Boss’s album from 1984 “Born In The USA” be our soundtrack. Since it was on the iPod, the selections rolled into his 2005 folk-based album Devils & Dust. Both of these albums are great for more than just background music while working. But if you are involved in any home improvement projects in the near future, I’d recommend Springsteen as a great addition to the work environment. I’m sure those working with you will enjoy it as well.
