I spend a lot of time listening to new music and really searching for great new flavors to present to you each week. But sometimes I also enjoy listening to some of my favorite artists and older music from them, their earlier work and also mixing that with a splash of some off-the-beaten path artists for a collection of musical flavor both old and new. I compiled a great playlist recently and that’s what I’m serving up this time. This means that Appetizer artists like Citizen Cope, Iron and Wine, and William Fitzsimmons are in the mix, music from their earlier releases, as well as new music from Brett Dennen and a really sweet track that features some instrumentation and a chilled-out presentation that’s really cool. Also some flavor from here in Texas, out of Abilene we have the sweet sounds of The Light Parade, and we pick up the tempo a bit towards the end of the hour with California punk band No Motiv. This band is one I heard at a show in Houston in 2000 that turned me on to their work. It’s pretty groovy. Enjoy!
If you missed our show or if you want to still taste some of these tracks again, check out our MOG playlist at our FB page.
