Our Sound Bites special reviews have taken on so many different genres and artists in the past week. We’re thankful for the opportunity to connect with such a diverse group of musicians from all over the world. This time we have a Canadian performer who is reshaping the styles of Rock and Country by taking the best elements of the genres and blending them perfectly. Most fans of real Country music dislike what is broadcast and heralded by the mainstream labels and stations today. So much of the heart of what has made Country music one of the most favorite types of music has lost its appeal. Thank goodness for artists like Tommy Roumanas, who captures the heart of country and adds a little rock kick to up the tempo. Roumanas leaves out the unnecessary (and frankly silly) attempts at criss-crossing rap themes into his Rock-Country sound. It’s obvious that 80s rock styles like Bon Jovi were inspirations to his sound.
