Sound Bites: Another World

EDM is finding itself in a variety of places lately. From a giant influx of use in pop and mainstream rock to inclusion in video games, the animated movie and TV world is following suit as well. Fitting, as many of the genre’s origins and storylines fit so well into the world of digital storylines, including books made for mobile viewing.

Brent LeVasseur is a storytelling craftsman in this realm, and his book release, Another World (Aoleon the Martian Girl), features a corresponding musical single with vocals by Elan Noelle, providing the spark and elegance of a song fit for use in animation.

The single is released as a pairing accompaniment to the digital book for Aoleon The Martian Girl (information on the book found HERE).

Another World isn’t a straight EDM tour as much as a backdrop to a Pop ballad telling the story of Aoleon and the character’s journey from the book. A great soundtrack tune and introduction to an accompanying story, Noelle’s vocals with accompanying dance track recall a similar sound of Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine era of the late 1980s, but with a more modern tone. In a fashion typical for a movie-based track, elements of the character’s journey are presented lyrically through the song, building interest and intrigue for those unfamiliar with the tale. Exploration of the song leads to the intrigue of what other world lies in the book.

Another World (Aoleon The Martian Girl) is available on iTunes and Amazon as a single. More information on Brent LeVasseur and his storytelling can be found HERE.
