Alternative artists.
These two qualifications usually translate to the genre “Alt-Rock” but not all alternative fits into the alt-rock category. Do a search for “Indie alternative” and you’ll get a listing of alt-rock bands from the 90s on most sites. Trust me, that’s not all the alternative music in the indie space that’s out there. There is so much more worth discovering.

Indie alternative stretches into alternative styles of folk, singer-songwriter, electronic, blues, and beyond. Yes, indie alternative does bleed into the alt-rock realms as well.
This week’s music experience is a savoring of some great indie alternative albums over the past few years, and I’ll share my reasons for why we’ve gone back to music from 2004 to 2012 this week in our showcase. Enjoy!
