Conversation Pieces Playlist & Streaming Player

DSC00260 When I put this week’s show together, there were two big things I didn’t know would happen this week that would (strangely) tie into one of the underlying themes of the show. We lost two great icons in both music and entertainment, David Bowie and Alan Rickman.Gabriel Prado wrote a brilliant piece on the impact of David Bowie you definitely should read.

I’ve been processing the loss of a good friend of ours who passed away too early in life last year. That is a theme that is addressed in the first hour with a series of songs dedicated to her. Grieving is hard, and I honestly really suck at it. It takes me a long time to really catch up with the reality and emotions of losing someone you know. Then to lose someone you don’t know personally but admire from afar, it’s still very real and very raw.

The theme this week stems from a long conversation my wife and I had over breakfast with friends. There were some profound things said that I will share with you in both hours, and the music provides a subtle commentary on the subject matter.

Is death something you have trouble processing too? Comment here and let’s talk together. Maybe our collective conversation can help us to process this better.
