That Indie Dream Playlist & Show Players

indie music radio playlist entrepreneur Back in 2003 when I was first starting this radio show, the concept of “indie music” was not something a lot of folks knew about. Actually, indie was avoided by a lot of people because it seemed so unknown.

My how times have changed. I started playing indie music on The Appetizer Radio Show right away when we kicked off our first broadcast on September 20, 2003 on our first station (KACU in Abilene, Tx). I’ve always loved indie. People who make the risk and take the chance of doing things on their own, and being willing to be underground to have a more potent connection with their audience is what I strive for too.

It’s the entrepreneurial path isn’t it? That’s the focus this week. That indie dream is what entrepreneurs like myself (and possibly you too) share as we use our talents to impact people, and do so without a billion-dollar corporation funding our growth. I celebrate each of these artists and their outstanding albums, and invite you to do the same. Enjoy!
